The Linux Support Engineer will ensure that Linux systems are available to meet the demands for Teaching, Research and other University functions, to follow up on system monitoring reports, ensure that systems and services meet the security requirements of the University, and that data is backed up regularly. You will assist with the planning, monitoring and undertaking of systems maintenance procedures and disaster recovery, and to participate in the departments on-call service for out of hours support if required.
